This is a 1.8m long USB to RS422 converter cable. Using the FT232R chip combined with an RS422 level converter, the cable is CE, FCC and UKCA approved product which is one of the simplest USB – RS422 solutions around.
Description
The USB-RS422-WE-1800-BT is a high-performance industrial USB-to-RS-422 serial conversion cable. It features an integrated FTDI FT232R chip, converting USB signals to full-duplex RS-422 levels via unterminated wires. This design allows users to custom-crimp connectors based on specific system requirements.
Equipped with a standard 1.8m black PVC-shielded cable and a transparent overmolded USB connector, the device provides clear visibility into TX/RX data traffic via onboard LEDs. It supports baud rates up to 3M baud and installs as a Virtual COM Port (VCP), making it ideal for connecting legacy industrial equipment such as PLCs, CNC controllers, and access control systems.
