USB Type-C host to RJ12 RS232 plus 3.5 mm auxiliary signal for CNC, routers and legacy industrial consoles.
This cable provides a USB Type-C male connection to an RJ12 male RS-232 serial port plus a 3.5 mm male auxiliary plug, implemented with an integrated FTDI FT232RL-based USB-to-serial solution and an RS-232 level transceiver. It exposes standard RS-232 signals (Tx/Rx, GND and common handshake lines) on the RJ12 connector while the 3.5 mm auxiliary plug carries an additional control or console line used by certain CNC controllers, industrial HMIs and communication equipment.
Built for shop-floor and field service use, the cable combines FTDI virtual COM port (VCP) and D2XX driver support across Windows, macOS and Linux with shielded construction to reduce EMI in industrial environments. The cable is bus-powered from the USB-C host (no external adapter required), supports configurable baud rates, and can be supplied with custom pinouts, alternate lengths, EEPROM-programmed VID/PID or labeling to match equipment wiring and maintenance workflows. Verify the target device’s RJ12 wiring and 3.5 mm pin configuration prior to ordering when using the auxiliary plug.
