Farsince 800G OSFP‑to‑OSFP flat‑top DAC is a twinax assembly for copper direct‑attach connections between OSFP‑800G ports. The link carries eight 100G PAM4 electrical lanes (800GAUI‑8) in each direction, providing a cost‑efficient alternative to optics for very short runs. It is suited to top‑of‑rack and adjacent‑rack connections among spine/leaf switches, GPU/AI nodes and storage systems where high density and low latency are critical. The flat‑top OSFP housing fits cages with integrated heat sinks and tight front‑panel spacing to maintain airflow.
With a passive design, the cable adds virtually no latency and draws only minimal management power. Controlled‑impedance 30 AWG twinax pairs and full shielding help achieve low insertion loss and low crosstalk, while a 34.5 mm minimum bend radius simplifies routing in dense racks. The assembly is hot‑pluggable and interoperable with OSFP MSA mechanics, CMIS 5.0 and IEEE 802.3ck electrical specifications. Farsince supports vendor coding, custom lengths and labeling, and supplies lot‑level test reports for consistent deployment at scale.
