Farsince 800G OSFP SR8 is a flat‑top optical transceiver designed for high‑power, liquid‑cooled or tightly stacked platforms where heat‑sink clearance is limited. The module converts an 8‑lane 100G PAM4 electrical interface (800GAUI‑8) to parallel multimode optics at 850 nm and presents two MTP/MPO‑12 APC ports. It supports native 800G SR8 connectivity or breakout to dual 400G SR4 using the two MPO‑12s. Typical uses include spine/leaf aggregation, GPU/accelerator clusters, and short cross‑connects within modern AI/HPC and cloud data halls.
Built around a low‑power DSP with VCSEL/PIN optics, the module offers deterministic latency and straightforward cabling with standard 12‑fiber trunks. Digital diagnostics (DOM) and CMIS management simplify monitoring, while hot‑pluggable OSFP mechanics enable fast field replacement. Farsince provides coding for mainstream platforms, breakout polarity guidance, and pre‑terminated cable kits to match site topologies. Custom labeling, acceptance testing and logistics services are available for volume deployment.
