Description

This passive copper assembly connects Mini‑SAS HD SFF‑8644 ports end‑to‑end for external SAS storage. Both ends use 36‑position SFF‑8644 plugs with metal backshells and pull‑tab latches, providing a straight‑through 4‑lane connection between servers, RAID controllers or HBAs and external JBOD, DAS shelves, switch modules or arrays. Designed for SAS 3.0 signaling, it supports up to 12 Gb/s per lane and is backward compatible with 6G and 3G generations. The cable is equally suited for systems that adopt SFF‑8644 for NVMe/PCIe cabling—protocol support should be verified on the host and enclosure.

Built by Farsince with individually shielded twinax pairs and an overall foil/braid, the cable maintains low skew and controlled 100‑ohm differential impedance in dense rack environments. The compact HD form factor improves airflow and panel density, while the positive‑latch hardware ensures secure mating and quick, tool‑less service. Standard lengths cover typical rack‑to‑shelf runs, and we offer OEM customization for length, wire gauge, labeling and harness integration to align with project BOMs and cabinet layouts.
