This hybrid assembly links a 26‑pin Mini‑SAS SFF‑8088 external port to a 36‑pin Mini‑SAS HD SFF‑8643 internal header, providing a straight‑through 4‑lane SAS connection for storage builds. It is used to bridge external HBA/RAID controllers to internal backplanes, expanders, or drive cages in servers and JBOD/DAS enclosures. The interface supports SAS 2.0 signaling up to 6 Gbps per lane and is backward compatible with SAS 1.0; SATA protocol can pass through a SAS infrastructure when allowed by the host and enclosure.

Farsince engineers this cable with 28 AWG twinax conductors, individually shielded differential pairs, and an overall foil/braid to control crosstalk and EMI in dense racks. The metal‑shell SFF‑8088 features a secure latch and pull‑tab for tool‑less service, while the SFF‑8643 uses a positive locking latch for stable mating to backplanes. Standard lengths cover common chassis runs, and we support OEM customization for length, gauge, labeling, and harness integration to match your cabinet layout and BOM requirements.
