Description

This cable connects Mini‑SAS SFF‑8088 (26‑pin) ports end‑to‑end for external SAS storage. Both ends use metal‑shell SFF‑8088 plugs with latching pull‑tabs, providing a 4‑lane straight‑through link between a server HBA/RAID card and an expander, JBOD, or external drive enclosure. Typical deployments include rack servers to DAS/JBOD cabinets, lab arrays, and archival systems where reliable, shielded external cabling is required. The interface supports SAS 2.0 link rates up to 6 Gbps per lane and is backward‑compatible with SAS 1.0; SATA traffic is carried through SAS infrastructure where supported by the host/enclosure.

Farsince builds this assembly with individually shielded differential pairs and an overall braid/foil screen to minimize crosstalk and EMI in dense racks. Precision‑terminated contacts and metal backshells maintain low insertion loss over common run lengths.
