Description

This hybrid Mini‑SAS cable links an external SFF‑8088 26‑pin port to an internal SFF‑8087 36‑pin header for 4‑lane SAS connectivity. It is commonly used to connect a server HBA or RAID adapter with an external SFF‑8088 port to an internal drive backplane, expander, or RAID card that exposes SFF‑8087. The assembly carries SAS 2.0 signaling up to 6 Gbps per lane and is backward compatible with SAS 1.0; SATA traffic can be transported through SAS infrastructure when supported by the host and enclosure.

Farsince manufactures this cable with individually shielded differential pairs and an overall foil/braid, paired with a metal SFF‑8088 backshell and positive latching on both ends to maintain signal integrity in dense racks. The external plug features a pull‑tab for tool‑less service, while the internal 8087 latch ensures a secure connection to backplanes.
