Farsince 800GBASE‑SR8 QSFP‑DD is a hot‑pluggable multimode optical transceiver for short‑reach 800GbE in modern data centers. The module maps eight 106.25G PAM4 electrical lanes (8×100GAUI‑1) to eight optical lanes at 850 nm. It features an MTP/MPO‑16 female interface. Typical uses include high‑density switch‑to‑switch links in leaf‑spine fabrics and migration paths where an 800G port must break out to multiple 100G SR connections for servers, NICs or AI accelerators.
A retimed DSP with integrated CDR maintains signal integrity, while CMIS‑based management provides complete digital diagnostics for monitoring and planning. The finned‑top QSFP‑DD housing suits air‑cooled panels and allows hot‑swap serviceability. Interoperable with IEEE 802.3df SR8 specifications, the module supports 8×100G‑SR and 2×400G‑SR4 breakout through appropriate cabling. Farsince can supply multi‑vendor coding, project labeling and acceptance test reports, along with matched MTP trunks and cassettes for consistent installation.
