Farsince 400G QSFP‑DD to 8×50G SFP56 passive breakout is a twinax harness that distributes one 400G switch port into eight independent 50G copper links. The QSFP‑DD end presents eight 50G PAM4 electrical lanes (400GAUI‑8) and maps each lane to a single‑lane SFP56 plug (50GAUI‑1). It is designed for short‑reach switch‑to‑server or switch‑to‑switch connections where multiple 50G endpoints must be aggregated from a single 400G interface, such as top‑of‑rack fan‑outs in cloud, AI/HPC and enterprise data centers.
With a passive construction, the cable introduces virtually no latency and requires only minimal ID current from the host. Controlled‑impedance twinax pairs, robust shielding and molded strain relief deliver low insertion loss and crosstalk, while a 39.5 mm minimum bend radius helps routing in dense racks. The assembly is hot‑pluggable and interoperable with platforms following QSFP‑DD and SFP56 MSA mechanics, CMIS 4.0, and IEEE 802.3bs/802.3cd electrical specifications. Farsince offers vendor coding, leg labeling, and custom lengths, with batch test reports to support repeatable deployment across large installations.
