Farsince 400G QSFP‑DD SR8 is a hot‑pluggable optical transceiver for high‑density 400‑Gigabit Ethernet in data centers. The module maps eight 50G PAM4 electrical lanes from the QSFP‑DD host to eight optical lanes at 850 nm using an MPO‑16 (MTP) interface, enabling parallel transmission over 16‑fiber OM4/OM3 cabling. It supports reach up to 100 m on OM4 (typ. 70 m on OM3) and is well suited for leaf–spine interconnects, top‑of‑rack aggregation and GPU/AI cluster fabrics where low‑latency multimode links are preferred.
An 850 nm VCSEL/PIN design with CMIS management provides stable operation and full digital diagnostics. The compact QSFP‑DD form factor allows high‑port‑count panels, and hot‑swap serviceability simplifies maintenance. The optics interoperate to IEEE 802.3cm 400GBASE‑SR8 and support breakouts to 8×50G SR or 4×100G SR4 with appropriate MTP/MPO harnesses and Type‑B polarity. Host KP4 FEC is required for error performance. Farsince offers multi‑vendor coding, project labeling and acceptance testing, plus matched MTP trunks and harnesses to streamline deployment and spares strategy.
