Farsince 400G QSFP‑DD DR4 is a hot‑pluggable optical transceiver for short‑to‑medium reach 400‑Gigabit Ethernet on single‑mode fiber. The module maps eight 53.125G electrical lanes from the QSFP‑DD host to four optical lanes of 106.25G PAM4 near 1310 nm. It uses an MTP/MPO‑12 APC receptacle with eight active fibers (4Tx/4Rx) and delivers up to 500 m reach over G.652 SMF. Typical applications include spine‑leaf fabrics, hyperscale or enterprise aggregation, and migration paths where a single 400G port must fan out to four 100G endpoints.
An EML transmitter and PIN receiver architecture provides robust performance with KP4 FEC on the host, while CMIS management exposes full digital diagnostics for proactive monitoring. The compact QSFP‑DD form factor enables high‑density panels and hot‑swap maintenance; polarity‑managed MPO trunks or MPO‑to‑4×LC harnesses simplify cabling for either 400G point‑to‑point or 4×100G‑DR breakout. Farsince supports multi‑vendor coding, labeling and acceptance testing, and can deliver matched patch cords and harnesses to streamline deployment and long‑term sparing.
