Farsince 400GBASE‑DR4 OSFP is a finned‑top, hot‑pluggable optical transceiver for high‑density 400‑Gigabit Ethernet. The module maps eight 50G PAM4 electrical lanes on the OSFP host (400GAUI‑8) to four optical lanes at 1310 nm via an MPO‑12/APC receptacle, operating over OS2/G.652D single‑mode fiber to 500 m. It is suited to spine‑leaf uplinks, AI/HPC fabrics and 400G aggregation, and supports breakout to four independent 100G‑DR links using an MTP‑to‑4×LC harness.
An EML/PIN optical engine with CMIS management and digital diagnostics provides stable performance and straightforward monitoring. The finned‑top housing aids air‑cooled deployments, and hot‑swap serviceability simplifies maintenance in dense chassis. Interoperable to IEEE 400GBASE‑DR4, the module requires host KP4 FEC and is backward compatible at lower rates where supported by the host. Farsince offers multi‑vendor coding, project labeling and acceptance testing, and can supply matched MTP trunks and breakout assemblies for consistent, low‑loss installation.
