Description

Farsince 25G SFP28 AOC integrates two SFP28 optical transceivers and a factory‑terminated multimode fiber to provide a simple, low‑latency link between SFP28 cages on switches, servers and storage. Operating at 25.78125 Gb/s with 850 nm VCSEL optics, the assembly supports common 25G Ethernet and InfiniBand EDR applications. It is supplied in standard lengths from 1 to 50 meters to cover top‑of‑rack, leaf‑spine and adjacent‑row interconnects without separate optics or patch cords. Pull‑tab latches enable quick insertion and release in dense chassis.

The lightweight optical cable reduces bulk and airflow blockage versus copper DACs while eliminating EMI coupling. Each end runs from a 3.3 V supply with typical power below 1 W, supporting high‑port‑count deployments. Digital diagnostics per SFF‑8472 allow host monitoring of temperature and optical power. Farsince offers length options, labeling and project kitting for streamlined rollout across data center clusters.
