The module integrates a DFB transmitter and a PIN‑TIA receiver in a standard SFP28 MSA housing with duplex LC/UPC interface and digital diagnostics. It operates over two strands of G.652 SMF to support links up to 10 km, fitting leaf‑spine interconnects, enterprise and campus aggregation, and CPRI/eCPRI fronthaul or backhaul where consistent, low‑latency 25G is required.
The design offers predictable link budgets for 10 km while maintaining low power draw and broad platform interoperability. DOM in accordance with SFF‑8472 enables real‑time monitoring of temperature, voltage and optical power to simplify field maintenance. Compliant with IEEE 802.3by and SFF‑8431/8432, the module installs by hot swap and works with standard LC patch cords.
