Farsince 25G SFP28 BiDi is a hot‑pluggable optical transceiver that carries 25‑Gbps Ethernet over a single strand of G.652 single‑mode fiber. This “A” variant transmits at 1310 nm and receives at 1270 nm through a simplex LC/UPC interface; it must be used with the complementary “B” unit (1270‑Tx/1310‑Rx). A DFB BiDi laser and APD receiver provide the power budget for spans up to 40 km, with digital diagnostics for in‑service monitoring. Typical deployments include fiber‑constrained campus and metro aggregation, long‑reach leaf‑spine links, and CPRI/eCPRI fronthaul or backhaul where single‑fiber routing reduces civil work and fiber usage.
Built for interoperability, the module follows the SFP28 MSA electrical interface and supports 25G Ethernet as well as CPRI/eCPRI traffic. DOM per SFF‑8472 reports temperature, voltage and optical power to aid preventive maintenance. The compact design installs by hot swap and uses standard LC patch cords. Farsince offers platform coding for major switch and radio vendors, project labeling, acceptance testing, and stable mass‑production supply to support network rollouts.
