Farsince 10G SFP+ BiDi (BX40‑D) is a hot‑pluggable optical transceiver for long‑reach 10‑Gigabit Ethernet over a single strand of G.652 single‑mode fiber. The module integrates a 1330 nm DFB laser for transmit and a 1270 nm PIN‑TIA receiver in a standard SFP+ MSA housing with a simplex LC/UPC interface and digital diagnostics. When paired with the complementary BX40‑U unit at the far end (1270‑TX/1330‑RX), it delivers links up to 40 km, making it suitable for metro access, campus backbones, FTTx aggregation, and CPRI/eCPRI fronthaul where fiber resources are limited.
By combining WDM optics with DOM per SFF‑8472, the transceiver reduces fiber count while enabling real‑time monitoring of optical power, voltage and temperature for predictable operation. The design follows IEEE 802.3ae and SFF‑8431/8432 to ensure broad interoperability with 10G SFP+ switch, router and transport platforms and supports hot‑swap installation. Farsince offers platform‑specific coding, project labeling, acceptance testing, and matched BX40‑U partners and LC patch cords to streamline deployment and maintenance.
