Farsince 10G SFP+ BiDi module enables bidirectional 10‑Gigabit Ethernet over a single strand of G.652 single‑mode fiber. In a standard SFP+ MSA housing, it integrates a 1330 nm DFB laser for transmit and a 1270 nm PIN‑TIA receiver for receive, presented on a simplex LC/UPC interface with digital diagnostics. The BX20‑D variant is used with the complementary BX20‑U (1270‑TX/1330‑RX) at the far end to complete a 20 km link. Typical deployments include campus and enterprise backbones, access rings where fiber is scarce, and wireless CPRI/eCPRI fronthaul.
Using WDM optics, this transceiver halves fiber usage while maintaining consistent 10GbE performance. DOM per SFF‑8472 supports real‑time monitoring of temperature, supply voltage and optical power to simplify operations. The design follows SFF‑8431/8432 and SFP+ MSA practices for broad host interoperability and hot‑swap installation. Farsince provides vendor‑specific coding for major platforms, project labeling and acceptance testing, and can supply matched BX20‑U partners and LC patch cords for streamlined rollout.
