Farsince 100G QSFP28 to 4×SFP28 AOC integrates a QSFP28 SR4 transceiver and four SFP28 SR optical ends with a fixed multimode fiber harness. One QSFP28 host port is separated into four independent 25G SFP28 ports, each operating at 25.78125 Gb/s NRZ over 850 nm. The assembly plugs directly into switches, servers and storage equipped with QSFP28 and SFP28 cages, providing a simple 100G‑to‑4×25G Ethernet breakout for TOR‑to‑server links, leaf‑to‑edge connections and high‑density aggregation without separate optics and patch cords.
The lightweight optical cable reduces cabling bulk and eliminates EMI concerns typical of copper fan‑outs. Hot‑plug connectors with pull‑tab latches simplify service in crowded racks. Power draw is below 2.5 W for the complete cable. Management and diagnostics follow SFF‑8636 (QSFP28) and SFF‑8472/SFF‑8431 (SFP28) for host monitoring. Farsince supports project‑matched lengths, labeling and kitting to streamline deployment across data‑center environments.
