    Description

    Farsince 100G QSFP28 ER4 is a hot‑pluggable optical transceiver engineered for long‑reach 100‑Gigabit Ethernet. The module converts four 25G electrical lanes to four LAN‑WDM optical channels around 1310 nm and multiplexes them onto a duplex LC/UPC interface for transmission over G.652 single‑mode fiber. It installs into QSFP28 ports on switches, routers and transport platforms, serving metro access uplinks, cellular backhaul/fronthaul, industrial plant backbones and campus or inter‑building links requiring 40 km reach with standard LC patching.


    An EML transmitter combined with an APD receiver provides the link budget needed for extended spans, while digital diagnostics (DOM) per SFF‑8636 support real‑time monitoring for operations and field maintenance. The industrial case option maintains performance from -40 to +85°C and is suitable for outdoor cabinets and harsh sites. The design interworks with IEEE 802.3bm 100GBASE‑ER4 and QSFP28 MSA; host FEC is supported and recommended for margin on longer routes. Farsince supplies platform‑specific coding, labeling, acceptance testing and reliable volume supply to streamline deployment and lifecycle management.
